The other day I mentioned I tried out 2 designs using a Wacom Pad. It’s my first attempt at using one. Here’s the second design I did. It’s for the band IWrestledABearOnce. It started out w/ the monster looking like butter w/ white popcorn but somewhere along the line I changed all the colors to make it pop more. Oops
Green Rose is a clothing company based out of Mexico. They commisioned me to create a tee design involving a princess getting attacked by a bunch of angry forest creatures.
This tee is unique because it’s the first design I’ve ever done using a Wacom tablet. Up until now, I’ve done all my designs using Illustrator, and I have been wanting to try something new.
I also just wrapped up a design for IWrestledABearOnce using the tablet. I’ll post that in a few days.
Here’s an image of a new tee design for the band Count Your Blessings. It’s of a puppy. Everyone likes puppies.
The other day as I mentioned I was interviewed by my old school. They came to my studio and snapped a few shots of me an some of my work and asked me some questions about what I do. They’ll be using it next year when they go to high schools in the region and on some of their advertsements. It was the first time I’ve ever done something like that and I didn’t know what to expect. Gladly, it went really smooth and was alot easier than I thought it was going to be.
Right now I’m working on some projects for the bands Stick to Your Guns, IWrestledABearOnce, Heaven Shall Burn, Winds of Plague, and Suicide Silence. Also, I’ve began talks to work on a line of snowboards. More info on that later.
I recently did three new tee designs for the band “Of Machines”. This is one of them, entitled The Little Mermaid. All three tees are for sale right now on their current tour so be sure to pick one up.
Today, I’m being interviewed by my old college to be used in next semester’s advertising. They’ll be coming to my studio to snap photos of me and my work. I’ve never done something like this before, but I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hot Topic has just released a new design I did for the Devil Wears Prada. It’s a genie looking fierce with his lamp and some diamonds. Here’s a link to the tee on their website if you want to check it out or make a purchase.
An update on the Mural party I mentioned last week here on the site. It’s going to be held on July 11th at 7PM till whenever. It’s at Affogato in Bellevue Pa, which is about 10 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. Will get more info later on as the event approaches.
If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you may have seen my posts about a giant mural that me and my man Carver have been working on the past few weeks. The mural is in my town, Bellevue PA in the courtyard of Affogato, a local coffee shop.
I’m happy to say that we’re about done w/ it and are planning a grand unveiling sometime soon. We’ll be having an event w/ live music, live painting, and some other tricks up our sleeve.
I’ll be posting more info as we make some final plans. If you think you got something to bring to the table for this, make sure to get at me.
I mentioned a few weeks back that I was invited to sponser the 2nd “Artery Foundation Across the Nation Tour” featuring bands like Emarosa, Our Last Night, and In Fear and Faith. It’s a nationwide tour across America that lasts pretty much all summer.
The new issue of Alternative Press has the official tour ad inside it and I’m pretty excited for everyone to see it. It’s around page 89 I think. It’s opposite the page of Matt Skiba talking about Social Distortion. If you you get a change, check it out and make sure to go see the tour when it comes to your town!
